Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has invited applications from fresh candidates and working professionals for admission to its full-time diploma and degree programmes in engineering with flexible timings. Face- to-face contact classes will be arranged at selected programme study centres for this vertically integrated engineering programme (VIEP – 2011). Branches available are civil, electrical, electronics and communication, mechanical and computer science and engineering.
Minimum entry qualification for a three-year engineering diploma course is a pass in tenth standard with at least 50 per cent marks/ grade and for four-year engineering degree course it is Class XII pass with physics, chemistry and mathematics as subjects and at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate for these three science subjects. Three year diploma holders in any branch of engineering or B.Sc. degree holders with physics, chemistry, mathematics as subjects or B.Sc. computer science are also eligible for admission to engineering degree course.
