Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD)

The institute invites applications from post graduate candidates for admission  to the PhD programme in Biological science starting from January 2011.

                                             PhD PROGRAMMES

• Admission to PhD programme shall be done in the month of December 2010.
• The programme will start on 1st week of January. 

• Candates who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/ICAR-JRF examination are eligible for registration. 

                                              ELIGIBILITY

• Candidates shall be eligible for registration in an ongoing programme of research in IBSD leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD0,if he/she has obtained 55% marks in aggregate in Master's Degree Examination. 

Candidate belonging to SC/ST who has obtained 50% marks in aggregate in Master's Degree .


Selection Procedure:

• If number of CSIR-UGC NET/CBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/ICAR-JRF qualified applicant are more than the available PhD positions,selection will be based only on interview with the NET/JRF qualified candidates.
• In case sufficient qualified applicant are not available ,shortlisted candidates (without NET/JRF but good academic record)may be called for a written test on 9th December 2010,at IBSD ,at their own expense.

• Qualified candidates shall be informed on the same day to appear for an interview on 10th dec.
