CUTOFF
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, IIFT The examination is of 2 hours with 122 questions divided into four sections:
General Awareness 20 questions, 0.4 marks each
Quantitative Ability: 28 questions, 1 mark each
Verbal Ability: RC (15 questions 1 mark each) + Verbal (25 questions, 0.6 marks each)
Logical Reasoning & DI: 34 questions 1 mark each
IIFT 2009 has sectional cutoff.
The negative marking = 1/3 of the marks of a question.
According to survey, the DI cases were difficult and lengthy and RC was comparitively easy. Quants was on bit difficult, but some of the questions were doable especially in the mensuration section which were quite direct.
37 should get you an IIFT Delhi call.
33 should get you an IIFT Kolkata call.
The paper did talk about sectional cutoffs… In my opinion they would be on the lines of:
Maths - 6
DI - 8
GK - 2.5
English - 10
Quant Sectional Cut-offs should be no higher than 5-6 marks.
DI/LR cut-off should be no higher than 5.5-6.5 marks.
GK cut-off should be no higher than 1.3-2.0 marks
English cut-off should be no less than 8 marks.
Overall - 32-35 for IIFT, Delhi; 28-32 for IIFT, Kolkata.
Nice share thanks.Know more about iit at acadzone
