Introduction
Amrita School of Business entered its second phase in 2009, with the launch of the MBA Program in three new campuses at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Kochi. Bengaluru campus also launched the Executive MBA Program. Both the MBA as well as the Executive MBA Programs at Bengaluru are being offered in collaboration with the State University of New York - University at Buffalo (SUNY - UB). In addition, ASB saw the first batch of its students visiting Sweden, Germany and Bulgaria as EURECA exchange scholars. Another batch is right now in Italy under the India4EU Program.
Eligibility for MBA Admission
The minimum qualification required to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in each of the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree examinations (or equivalent Graduation exam) conducted by a Board/ University.
For those who aspire to be part of MBA - MS Program at Bengaluru, offered jointly by Amrita School of Business and University at Buffalo, New York, a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Secondary/ Higher Secondary/Pre-degree examinations (or equivalent Graduation exam) conducted by a Board/ University is required. Minimum IBT - TOEFL score of 79 is a must for the students aspiring for MBA - MS Program.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations and viva-voce, if any, before 30th June 2011. Such candidates will however have to fulfill the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish consolidated marks sheet by 31st October 2011 and the degree certificate by 31st December 2011. In the event of an admitted student failing to meet the eligibility criteria, he/she will be required to withdraw from the programme. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they are advised to produce a letter from their college Principal/Head of Institution stating the examination dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will have an added advantage for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage (both in terms of where they have worked and the duration of work experience).
Admission Test
All candidates seeking admission to Amrita's MBA Program are required to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in November / December 2010 and / or GRE.
MAT (AIMA) scores are also accepted at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Kochi campuses.
NRI and students of foreign origin are required to take the GMAT test (Maximum of five percent NRI and /or foreign candidates may be admitted through GMAT with a minimum score of 550) and they should process their application through Director Corporate and International Relations, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Ettimadai, Coimbatore, India.

ASB prospectus and application form can be downloaded from the website and printed. Please fill in all the details affix your photograph, enclose the above-mentioned DD and mail it

Application forms are also available at select centres of IMS, T.I.M.E. and Axis bank branches across the country (Please refer our website for details). The application form can also be downloaded by logging on to our website www.amrita.edu/asb.
Selection
The closing date for Names of candidates who are short-listed will be posted on our website: www.amrita.edu/asb, and called for a Personal Interview (PI) during the first week of March 2011. Interviews will be held at Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and New Delhi. The date and venue of the interview will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates by email and post / courier. Candidates are advised to visit our website regularly during the admission months. The list of selected candidates will be announced on our website http://www.amrita.edu/asb. The individual candidates will also be intimated by email, post / courier within 15 days of the PI. The selected candidates are required to pay the first installment of the fees within 15 days from the date of intimation of final selection.
Batch Size
The number of seats available for the fully residential 2-year MBA Program starting on June 2011 is 300 (120 in Coimbatore and 60 each in Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Kochi).
