West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE)                                                  Education at West Bengal has an exclusive position in Indian Education Scenario for producing array of intellectuals and Nobel Laureates. The selection to various west bengal engineering colleges are held through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) Board.

 Eligibility 
Students who are Citizen of India and have attained the age group of 17-24 years are only eligible for WBJEE examination. The minimum qualification required by candidates is higher secondary (10+2 with aggregate of 50% marks for general and 40% for SC/ST in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biological Sciences. All categories are required to score 30% marks in English compulsorily. Candidates must obtain pass marks all the subjects including the fifth additional or vernacular subject to get admission into any of the courses offered that includes:

B.E/ B.Tech./B.Arch

M.B.B.S/B.D.S/B.V.Sc

Pharmacy

Domicile Requirements

For admissions into any of the courses offered by Government Engineering / Technological Colleges / State Universities, candidate must be resident of West Bengal for the time period of not less than 10 (ten) years continuously or their parents must be permanent resident of West Bengal having their permanent home address in West Bengal.

Exam Pattern
The pattern of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WB - JEE) for admission to engineering degree courses is as follows:

Each question paper (Biology, Physics + Chemistry - one paper, Mathematics) carries 100 marks.

The question paper consists of multiple Choice type Questions (MCQ) and short answer type questions .80% marks is allotted to Multiple Choice type Questions (MCQ), (four options including single correct answer) and 20% marks will be allotted to short answer type questions. For each incorrect response (answer) 33.33% of mark is deducted.
