Jammu University, Jammu Tawi was established in 1969 vide Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 following bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir. The University is accredited as 'A' grade University by National Assessment & Accreditation Council of India.The beautiful campus of the University ofJammu is located in the City of Temples - Jammu Tawi. It has two campuses - New Campus at Bahu Wali Rakh, with an area of about 118.70 acres and another small old campus at Canal Road, having an area of 10.5 acres.
Applications invited by University of Jammu , J&K for Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) in Museology and Heritage Studies course commencing in the session 2012.
University of Jammu Eligibility:
Candidates should have Master degree in relevant subject from recognized University.

- Prospectus and form can be obtained from University office.
- Entrance test fee of Rs.500 should be paid in the form of demand draft in favour of Director, Centre for Studies in Museology,University of Jammu.
Important Dates for University of Jammu:
- Last date for submission of application form is October 31, 2011.
- Entrance test will be held on November 14, 2011.
