Applications are invited in the prescribed format for admission to B.E/B.tech/B.Arch Degree Programmes for the acadmeic the year 2011-2012 Non-Resident Indians (NRI) / Foreign Nationals (FN) / Children of Indian workers in Gulf countries (CIWGC) Categories for B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. Issue of Application form for NRI / CIWGC Categories: April to June every Academic Year.
Issue of Application form for FN Category: January- December

Eligibility Criteria to Enroll for Undergraduate Degree Programmes

B.E./B.Tech. Degree (Four years): 10 + 2 of Indian System or its equivalent 12 years of school education. Must have studied in
English medium and should have obtained a pass in the qualifying examination with Good Grades in Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics
B.Arch Degree (Five years): In addition to the above qualification, the candidates must have passed the National Aptitude Test conducted by the council of Architecture, India (www.nata.in)

Application Procedure

Application forms can be either downloaded from the university website: www.annauniv.edu or obtained from the Director, Centre for International Affairs, Anna University, Chennai, Chennai - 600 025, INDIA in Person.

Registration Fee: A Bank Draft for US $ 200 drawn in favour of the Director, Centre for International Affairs, Anna University, Chennai, payable at New York.

Last date for Receipt of Application: Application complete in all respects should reach the Director, Centre for International Affairs, Anna University, Chennai, Chennai - 600 025, INDIA on or before 6th June 2011.

Selection Procedure: Selection of the candidates and allotment of Branch will be done based on merit through counseling by considering the marks obtained in Maths, Physics and Chemistry in the 12th grade.

Hostel Accommodations: Limited Hostel accommodation is available inside the campus. Application can be made at the time of admission.

Tuition Fee:
USD 7500 per year for all UG Programmes.
USD 4000 per year for all Masters' Programmes.
USD 4000 per year for all M.S(By Research) Programmes.
USD 4500 per year for all Ph.D. Programmes.

Other Fee: Fees applicable for Library, examination, Students' Co-operative Society, Identity card (Smart card) , etc should be paid in Indian rupees at the time of admission or when required to pay as per the rules.

Documents to be Submitted

A. NON - Resident Indians ( NRI ) / Children of Indian workers in Gulf countries (CIWGC) Categories

Photocopies of the following documents are to be attached along with the application:

1. Recent NRI status certificate of the parent issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country.
2. Employment certificate of the NRI parent. In the case of self employment, nature of business, annual income and required proof like Income - Tax paid (for the last 3 years), etc.
3. NRE/NRI bank account pass Book of the NRI parent.
4. Valid Indian Passport of the NRI parent.
5. Qualifying Mark / Grade list of the candidate.
6. School Transfer Certificate or Migration Certificate.

B. Foreign Nationals’ Category

1. Proof of Citizenship of the candidate.
2. Passport of the candidate.
3. Qualifying mark list of the candidate.
4. Certificate showing that the candidate has proficiency in English language.
5. Proof of Financial support.
6. Valid Visa / PIO / OCI Card.

If the candidate has studied in a non-Indian Government board of education system in abroad or in India, the eligibility certificate obtained from Association of India Universities, New Delhi or Indian Embassy in abroad, where the candidate has studied should be submitted.
