IITTM-PG diploma in tourism and cargo management

Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), an autonomous organisation of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is one of the premier institutes in the country offering education, training, research and consultancy in the field of tourism, travel and allied sectors. IITTM is a founder member of UN-ESCAP-promoted Network of Asia-Pacific Educational and Training Institute in Tourism (APETIT). IITTM is headquartered at Gwalior and has campuses in Bhubaneswar, New Delhi, Goa and Nellore.

The PGDM programme of IITTM South India Campus at Nellore (Andhra Pradesh) focuses on Tourism and Cargo management approved by AICTE.

This course offers a vibrant approach to human resource development in the growing tourism and cargo management sector.

Curriculum

This unique PGDM programme emphasis value-based education and opens the doors to innumerable areas including tour operations in national and multinational tourism and travel companies, tourism marketing, event management, hospitality, foreign exchange, air and shipping cargo, freight and forwarding, airports and airlines, State tourism boards and related organisations, independent travel consultants, e-tourism services and research and consultancy. Dual specialisation would be available to students in the areas of tourism marketing, tour operation, air cargo management and shipping cargo management.

The programme covering 32 courses spread across four semesters will cost Rs. 2.5 lakh.

This is an intensive programme of study for two academic sessions. It includes summer training, study tour and live project. Besides this, foreign language is offered. A total of 60 seats are available for this course.

Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission to the PGDM programme should possess a bachelor's degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline. Candidates should have valid CAT/MAT scores.
