AIMA- Applications for MAST 2012

INTRODUCTION
Management Aptitude and Skills Test - MAST is the latest offering for the benefit of both recruiters and fresh management pass outs alike. In the current business scenario companies are beginning to understand that to stay competitive, they need to focus on developing and hiring most suitable candidates for the right job. The task becomes tougher when the talent is raw and needs focused grooming. It is a huge challenge in terms of time and money for the recruiters to explore this talent from across the B-Schools which have mushroomed in the country in the last decade. MAST is structured keeping in mind the current Industry trends & practices for hiring of young fresh management talents. The objective of MAST is to identify potential managers who are capable of making a difference in the management of the organsiation and create path that is good not only for them, but also for the society.

Test Format


Test will be objective type and duration will be 2 hours 30 minutes.

Test is divided in three main sections
1. Psychometric Test
2. General Ability Test
3. Domain Knowledge Test

1. Psychometric Test : Personality traits commonly held in high demand by recruiters stated below will be tested
  • Leadership
  • Decision Making Ability
  • Team Work
  • Adaptability
  • Stress Management
  • Initiator
  • Ethical Values
  • Negotiation skills
  • Stability
2. General Ability Test will assess logical reasoning or thinking performance and will evaluate the following
  • Numerical Ability
  • Managerial Ability
  • Reasoning
  • English Language
3. Domain Knowledge Test will include multiple choice questions as well as case study based multiple choice questions in the following areas:
  • Finance
  • HR
  • Information Technology (IT)
  • International Business
  • Marketing
  • Operations
 General Instruction
  • Candidates are to report to the allotted test centre at least 90 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the test. 
  • The duration of the test is 2 hours 30 minutes. All questions are compulsory. Each question has four options. All questions carry equal mark. There will be NO Negative Marking for wrong answers.
  • Although the MAST. stresses on accuracy more than speed, it is important to use the allotted time wisely. Make every effort to pace yourself by making yourself familiar with the mechanics of the test. The directions explain exactly what each set of questions requires to answer those questions. Read all test directions carefully. Read each question carefully and thoroughly. Before answering a question, determine exactly what is being asked. 
  • All the questions and instructions of the test will be in English only. 
 Early bird discount: Candidates applying on or before 15th December 2011 can register by paying Rs.1250/- instead of Rs.1750/-

Admit Card
  • All provisionally registered candidates can download their Admit Card from AIMA websitelink: www.aima-ind.org/MAST2012Feb with effect from 13 February 2012 (Monday) after 1300 hours .
  • Candidates accessing the website the earliest can choose the time of his/her choice subject to availability. Those who have not opted the time slot for 4-5 days will be automatically allotted time slot by the system. No request for change of time slot can be entertained.

Last Date for submission of registration form along with Demand Draft at AIMA,New Delhi 25 January 2012 
How to take the Test Computer Based Test(CBT)
COMPUTER BASED TEST :
Test Date 26 February 2012 (Sunday).
Test Timing : In different Time slots at specific test venues; subject to number of candidates registering for Computer Based Test.
Test Centre City :
  • Test Centre City list is provided in the Registration Form.
  • Computer Based Test will take place on 26 February 2012 in different time slots.
  • One candidate can appear only for one domain.
Admit Card :
  • All provisionally registered candidates can download their Admit Card from AIMA websitelink: www.aima-ind.org/MAST2012Feb 15 days before the Computer Based test date i.e., with effect from 13th February 2012(Monday) 1300 hours. Admit Card would be having Candidate Name,Photograph, Registration No, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to them.
  • Candidates accessing the website the earliest can choose the Time of his/her choice subject to availability. Those who have not opted the  time slot for 4-5 days will be automatically allotted time slot by the system. No request for change of  time slot can be entertained.
