IIT-JEE 2012 Detailed Notification

The joint entrance test (IIT-JEE 2012) schedule for the admission in to under graduate courses like B.E., B.Tech and dual degree courses in various IITs for the 2012 has been announced by Indian Institute of Technology board. As per the tentative schedule, IIT-JEE 2012 test will be held on Sunday, 8th April 2012. The paper-I will be from 09.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs. Paper-II will begin at 14.00 hrs and end at 17.00 hrs.

Paper-I and Paper-II each will have separate sections in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Both papers are of objective type and will test the comprehensive, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.

Minimum Percentage of Marks in QE

Candidates belonging to GE and OBC categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in QE. SC, ST and PD candidates must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in QE.

Number of JEE Attempts

A candidate can attempt JEE maximum two times in consecutive years irrespective of whether or not he/she passed QE. Those who have attempted JEE in 2010 or earlier are NOT ELIGIBLE to appear in IIT-JEE 2012.
