Vinod Gupta School of Management-Admission to its two-year fulltime residential MBA programme

Vinod Gupta School of Management under the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, has invited application for admission to its two-year fulltime residential MBA programme. First-class BE/ B.Tech. degree holders in any branch and Master's degree holders in science, economics or commerce with mathematics/ statistics at degree level are eligible to apply. Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSOM) uses CAT for short-listing candidates for its MBA programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Domestic candidates seeking admission to the MBA Programme of VGSOM must complete the following procedures:

Step 1: Take the CAT 2011 exam

VGSOM would be providing more information on aspects such as but not limited to (1) Application Fee for students applying to 2012-2014 MBA Programme, (2) the date from which VGSOM would be soliciting applications, and (3) Fee structure for 2012-2014 MBA programme, by end of August 2011.

Step 2:

a. Once the application fee and the starting date for soliciting applications are notified through this website, the candidate may then obtain a demand draft for the application fee amount made in favour of “IIT Kharagpur” payable at Kharagpur.


b.  The candidate may then complete the online application form by clicking here

Please fill the online application form on or after the date of commencement of application procedure.

c. Then, the candidate has to send the print-out of the completed online application form along with photocopies of proof of qualification and experience, and the requisite demand draft to:

d. The last date for the school to receive your duly filled application form is January 27, 2012.  

 Please note that Group Discussion (GD) / Personal Interviews (PI) will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur in late March/ early April 2012. Candidates selected for GD/PI will be intimated through registered post/courier by late February, 2012.
