H. Sridhar Scholarship

AAT Media College and Real Image Media Technologies Ltd announced that it will be selecting five students from all over the country to be awarded by H. Sridhar scholarship.

AAT Media College and Real Image Media Technologies announce the H. Sridhar Scholarship for Media Studies. The H. Sridhar Scholarship is being awarded for five students. This five students will be awareded 50% fee waiver on Diploma course and BSc Vicsom Degree, Students to be selected from all over India through a set selection procedure.

The Scholarship is being given in memory of the audio engineer H Sridhar, former Chief Sound Engineer at Media Artists, a division of Real Image Media Technologies.

The National Winning Film Maker Mr. Vetrimaran launched this scholarship in the presence of Mr. Senthil Kumar, Co-Founder, Real Image Media Technologies Ltd and Mr. Rathis Babu, CEO of AAT Media College.

“Sridhar was incredibly passionate about music and so comfortable with technology that he could work on any system to create magic. We hope these scholarships are a small step towards giving those with a passion, a way to learn the technology this will be a fitting tribute to Sridhar who was a dear friend and an irreplaceable part of Real Image and Media Artists.” Mr. Kumar said.

TERM AND CONDITIONS
1. An individual who needs financial assistance to do one of the specified courses, as detailed herein below, will be selected to benefit from the scholarship. The intended candidate can be located anywhere in India.

2. The number of scholarships under the Scholarship, in an academic year, will not exceed 6 (six), and shall be as per the course-wise sub-limits set below:--
2.1 B.Sc. Visual Communication – 2 (1 – Chennai and 1-Mumbai);
2.2 Diploma in Audio Engineering – 2 (1 – Chennai and 1 – Mumbai);
2.3 Diploma in Digital Film Making – 2 (1 – Chennai and 1- Bangalore)

3. Eligibility criteria to apply for a scholarship – i) Should be a citizen of India; ii) Should have passed + 2 examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education for Diploma courses in first attempt; and iii) Should have passed + 2 examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education in first attempt with an aggregate minimum of 60% in core subjects for B.Sc. Viscom course.

4. Students who meet the eligible criteria stated in Para 3 above, will be required to send in a prescribed application form for the entrance test to AAT, write the entrance test conducted by AAT and also prepare a note detailing as to why they would need and as to how they would qualify for the scholarship under the Scholarship, as per the schedule determined by AAT.

5. The Deadline for submitting the scholarship Application forms for this academic year (2011-2012) and writing the entrance test is 20th July 2011. Applications received later than that will not be eligible for the scholarship.

6. On scrutiny and verification of the details contained in the application form, the applications received for courses under the Scholarship will be sent to RIMT by AAT, for evaluation, one to one counseling as required and final selection of eligible candidates.

7. The candidates so selected as above, will each get a waiver of 50% of the tuition fee under the Scholarship to attend the Course they have been selected for. In other words, only 50% of the tuition fee will be borne by the candidate.

8. On the successful completion of the Diploma in Audio Engineering course by a candidate chosen under the Scholarship, in first attempt, the candidate will be eligible for a 3 month paid internship at Media Artists, one of the leading audio mix studios in the country, and a division of RIMT.
