University of Liverpool invites applications from postgraduate Indian students for the prestigious ARM Scholarship worth £6,200. The Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics at the University of Liverpool (U.K.) has invited applications for a prestigious scholarship which includes a four month paid internship at a world-leading technology company in Cambridge.
The ARM Scholarship is exclusive to postgraduate students in India who have been offered a place for 2011/12 session on one of the University's Masters Degree programmes in Microelectronic Systems or Microelectronic Systems and Telecommunications.
The ARM scholarship is an award of £6,200 and the student who qualifies will also be given a Regional Award of £1,000 from the University. The student will complete their Master's project as a paid intern at ARM Cambridge.
Previous ARM scholars at the university have gone on to secure permanent jobs at the company and others are now working at NVIDIA, a graphics hardware company in the U.S., and Aptina, a specialist in imaging technology, based in the U.K.
To be eligible for the scholarship, the candidate must have an offer for the M.Sc. (Eng) Microelectronic Systems or M.Sc. (Eng.) Microelectronic Systems and Telecommunications at the University of Liverpool. Moreover, the candidate must also have a first class BE, ME, B.Tech. or M.Tech. degree in a subject related to electronic engineering or a computer science/engineering degree where hardware electives have been taken.
