ELIGIBILITY for ENAT 2011
CITIZENSHIP: Indian Nationals.
QUALIFICATION: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology as optional subjects and a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
ADMISSIONS CRITERIA
GENERAL CATEGORY: Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test 2011.
FOREIGN/NRI CATEGORY:Admissions under this category are handled by a separate office.The Office of International Admissions of Manipal University (MU) is the nodal point for international students. Foreign/ NRI students from abroad (outside India) will generally be admitted at the beginning of the academic year commencing in July/ August every year.
MU earmarks certain percentage of seats for international students which include, foreign citizens, PIO Card Holders, OCI (Overseas Citizens of India), Non-Resident Indians and NRI sponsored students under the Foreign/ NRI category.
The admissions are based on merit and marks/grades obtained in the qualifying examination (equivalent to the +2 examinations of India). International students are not required to take the entrance examination conducted by Manipal University for resident Indian students.

Categories of International Students
Foreign Students: Students holding the passport issued by foreign countries including people of Indian origin who have acquired the nationality of foreign countries are classified as foreign students
Non Resident Indians (NRI): An NRI student is one who has an NRI status. Students who have studied their qualifying examination (equivalent to the +2 of India) from schools or colleges abroad (outside India) will be considered as NRI/ International students.
NRI Sponsored Students: An NRI sponsored student is an Indian citizen whose direct blood relative (Parents, Grand Parents, Parents direct Brother/Sister or Candidates direct Brother/Sister) is an NRI.
Candidates can apply both under General and Foreign/NRI category. Change of category from Foreign/NRI to General after admission will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET) 2011
TEST PATTERN: The test duration is of 2.30 hours,Questions- 240 (MCQ), The approximate distribution of questions is
Physics - 60
Chemistry - 60
Mathematics - 80
English & General Aptitude - 40
TEST SYLLABUS:

ENAT 2011 SCHEDULE
MU-OET will be held between 01.04.11 and 22.05.11.

MERIT LIST
Based on the marks obtained in MU-OET 2011, Manipal University will declare a list of all candidates appeared for the entrance test on or before 25.05.11 in the website. In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks, the inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined on the basis of higher marks in the order of preference as under:
• Mathematics in MU-OET 2011
• Physics in MU-OET 2011
• Chemistry in MU-OET 2011
• PCM marks in 10+2
Laptop computers will be given to all students admitted to BE course.

1. Apply Online
The total amount for online application includes following components:
Application Fee of Rs.500. This is mandatory for all applicants.
Entrance test Fee of Rs.1000, only if the course you are applying requires entrance test.Click here for the list of courses.
This payment can be done through Credit Card/Net Banking or Demand Draft. Click here and follow the procedure for submitting application online.
NOTE:
Before applying online kindly keep the following items ready/ handy
Scanned copy of your passport size photograph in .jpg format (200 x 200 dpi)
Scanned copy of your signature in .jpg format ( 200 x 200 dpi)
Your credit card or demand draft towards payment of fees ( Application fee - Rs.500 + Entrance Test fee [ for ET courses only ] Rs.1000)
Important:
Application no's will not be valid if the application is incomplete in terms of information or is not accompanied with the requisite documents or payment confirmations.
2. Apply Offline
Please fill in your details and register yourself below before downloading the prospectus and application form .Candidates should print the application form, complete it in all respects and mail it to Admissions Office along with the demand draft of total fees. The DD should be drawn in the name of 'Manipal University' payable at Manipal or Udupi. The total amount includes following components:
