About DA IICT 2011

Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA IICT 2011) is considered to be amongst the best institutes in India for technical education. DA-IICT was established in 2001 and got recognition of an autonomous university by Gujarat Legislature. In 2004 it was listed by UGC(University Grants Commission) as a private university in the list of Universities. The University is managed by Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group and thus provides the best of facilities, faculty, infrastructure and placement opportunities.

Admission to DA IICT 2011is based on AIEEE 2011 score and ranking but candidates have to apply separately for DA-IICT for its bachelor engineering courses.

Eligibility criteria:

A candidate should have passed or should be appearing in 2011 in 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Computer Science. Candidates who have done 3/4 year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education are also eligible. A candidate should also be under 25 years of age as on 1st October, 2011.

Expected Date Of Exam:
AIEEE, 2011 is rescheduled from 24.04.2011 to 01.05.2011 (Sunday) due to Easter festival. All rest of the things/schedule will remain unchanged. The sale of Information Bulletins from all selling centres will start from 22.12.2010 instead of 15.12.2010

Availability of Application forms for DA-IICT 2011:

Sale of Application Form : 21 March 2011 to 30 April 2011
Last Date for Receiving Completed Application Form : 6 May 2011

 The DAIICT Application Form will be made available through the following channels:
At selected Branches of Axis Bank by paying Rs. 1000/-.
Sending a demand draft of Rs. 1050/- to the Institute. The draft should be in favour of DAIICT, payable at Ahmedabad.
Apply online at http://www.daiict.ac.in by making an online payment (through credit card) of Rs. 1000/-.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their AIEEE scores. There are a total of 240 seats. Out of these 50% seats are reserved for Gujarat State candidates and 50% seats for Outside Gujarat candidates.

Scholarships: All the students admitted to the B Tech program. with an AIEEE All India Rank better than 5000. would be awarded merit scholarship equivalent to full tuition fees. In addition. five merit-cum-means scholarship would also be offered. subject to a means test.

The prescribed Application Form along with the instructions for filling up this Form can be downloaded by clicking here. Candidates who are admitted under NRI category of DAFS must continue within this category only and are not eligible for consideration under the procedure for Indian students.

Completed Application Form, along with the Application Fee of US $250 and following documents, must reach the Institute on or before 06 May 2011:
Duly authenticated transcripts of all marks/grades secured in all terms/semesters leading to the qualifying examination.
Certificate/document from the appropriate authority indicating your residency status (NRI/FN).

Selection Process For NRI Students

Admission will be granted based on the performance in the 12th standard or equivalent examination.

Preference for admission under this category will be given to the candidates who have
Obtained a total score of 1500 or more in the SAT Subject Tests (formerly SAT II) of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Level 2 (formerly Mathematics II- C)

and / or
have performed well at A-levels or equivalent standard examination of UK education system in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Candidates will have to request the SAT Program to send their SAT Tests scores directly to Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. The scores must reach the Institute by 13 May 2011.

Number of Seats

The number of seats in this category will be 24.
