National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), a constituent Laboratory of CSIR, was established in 1961 with the mission to carry out research in multidisciplinary areas of Earth Sciences. The Institute plays a pivotal role in the exploration of Hydrocarbons, Mineral and Groundwater resources in addition to studies in Engineering Geophysics, Seismology, Geo-dynamics and Geo-environment.
CSIR- National Geophysical Research Institute, Hyderabad, has invited applications from interested young and meritorious Indian nationals who desire to pursue scientific research in geophysics / applied geophysics / marine geophysics / geology/ applied geology / analytical chemistry / applied geochemistry / inorganic chemistry / computational seismology / physics /applied mathematics / mathematics. Students who have obtained first class marks in M.Sc. / M.Sc. Tech. / M.Tech. in the relevant discipline are eligible to apply.
The selected scholars will get a monthly stipend of Rs.15,000.
