From Civil Service Examination 2011, Preliminary Examination would consist of two papers- Paper I and Paper II. The syllabus and pattern of the Preliminary Examination would be as under :
(Paper 1) (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs.
· Current events of national and international importance
· History of India and Indian national movement
· Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
· Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
· Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
· General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization
· General science.
(Paper II) (200 marks) – Duration : Two hrs
· Comprehension
· Interpersonal skills including communication skills
· Logical reasoning and analytical ability
· Decision making and problem solving
· General mental ability
· Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level)
· English language comprehension skills (Class X level)

How to Apply
Selection Procedure
The various steps in selection for admission at BIMTECH include:
STEP I
Procurement of Form
Application form (common for all the programmes) can be acquired from September 30, 2010 onwards from-
a) Scratch Card can be purchased from the Admission office of the Institute by paying Rs. 1700/- in cash.
b) Scratch Card can be purchased from various centres of IMS, T.I.M.E, Bulls Eye, Suvidha Educational Academy across India .
c) Scratch Card can be purchased from various branches of Axis Bank on payment of Rs. 1700/-
d) Applying online on the website of the Institute followed by paying Rs. 1750/- through Credit Card.
STEP II
Filling up the Application Form
Candidates can apply online at www.bimtech.ac.in. Online application form can be filled by using credit card payment mode or by using 16 digit PIN number given on the Scratch Card.
Selection Criteria
Call for GD/PI:
There is no cut-off pre-defined, but the merit is prepared on the basis of CAT/MAT percentile for calling candidates for GD and Interview in a ratio of 1:10 for total number of seats in all the programmes after all the applications have been received by closing dates.
Final Selection: -
The merit is prepared on the basis of Weightages given below:
PI - 30%
GD - 20%
CAT percentile- 10%
Graduation %- 12%
10+2/Higher Secondary %- 10%
Misc.*- 18%
*Suitable weightages for Work Experience, Academic & Regional background, Professional Qualification, Institution of Excellence etc. are also given.
NOTE: Applying for the admission does not ensure that candidate will be called for GD / PI process or get admission. The discretion of the admission committee of the Institute will be final in all such matters.

Call for Group Discussion and Personal Interview: last week of January 2011 (tentative)
Venue and Time Schedule for GD & PI: From 15 to 23 Feb. 2011 (tentative)
For all programmes
GD/ PI would be conducted at Ahemdabad, Bangalore, Bhuvneshwar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, Pune, and Greater Noida in the month of February 2011 (tentative). The Institute reserves the right to cancel any of the above outstation centres.
Declaration of Final Selection List:
Final Selection List would be declared around March 8, 2011 (tentative)
Fee Submission:
Time of fifteen days would be given to the selected candidates from the day of declaration of final selection list to submit first installment.
Beginning of session
Academic session of all the programmes starts around June 1 (tentative) every year.

BIMTECH has an understanding with following Banks for providing education loans to our students on priority subject to fulfillment of their terms and documentation requirement by the Students.

Canara Bank has offered a special rate of interest to our students and has kept our institute at par with students of premiere Management Institutes of India. The name of our Institute has been circulated to all Canara Bank branches vide their H.O. circular no. 23/2008.

Filling up the Application Form
Candidates can apply online at www.bimtech.ac.in. Online application form can be filled by using credit card payment mode or by using 16 digit PIN number given on the Scratch Card.
Selection Criteria
Call for GD/PI:
There is no cut-off pre-defined, but the merit is prepared on the basis of CAT/MAT percentile for calling candidates for GD and Interview in a ratio of 1:10 for total number of seats in all the programmes after all the applications have been received by closing dates.

ATMA - AIMS Test for Management Admissions

Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a test which evaluates an individual’s proficiency in English Language which includes all the four aspects: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. Candidates are shortlisted for PGDM program of NIILM CMS on the basis of their CAT scores. Therefore for admission in PGDM program of NIILM CMS candidates have to compulsorily appear for CAT. Candidates have to also apply separately for admission in NIILM CMS. The candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their scores in CAT have to appear in a further selection process consisting of a Personal Interview and a Group Discussion after which the final selections are made.

Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institute with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Graduation. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply. The candidate that are applying been in the final year are accepted to provide a certificate of merit on or before 30th September of the ensuing year of the admission. Failure to do so may result in cancelling of the admission of that respective candidate.

The forms for PGDM program of NIILM CMS will be available directly from NIILM CMS Office. Candidates can also obtain the form by sending a request for the form along with a demand draft. The from can also be downloaded through the website www.niilm.com. The candidates that are earning their application form through post have to mention his or her registration number along with a specimen of their signature at the back side of the Demand Draft.

Selection process:
Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT scores. The shortlisted candidates are then called for further selection process consisting of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
