Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth- Applications for AIPGDET-2012

The University is conducting All India Post-Graduate Dental Entrance Test-2012 (AIPGDET-2012) on Sunday, the 15th January 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (1 ½ hours) at Pimpri, Pune centre for admission to MDS courses in the constituent college of the University viz. Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital, Pimpri, Pune, for the Academic Year 2012-13.

Printout of the application form along with DD for Rs. 3,750/- (Rupees three thousand seven hundred fifty only) payable at Pune drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of “The Registrar, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune”, has to be sent by post or submitted in person to the Registrar's office, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Sant Tukaram Nagar, Pimpri, Pune – 411 018, Maharashtra, so as to reach on or before 24th December 2011 by 5.00 p.m.

2) With late fees: 31/12/2011 by 5:00 p.m. (Form Fee + Test Fee + Postage + Late Fee) (Rs.1,500/- + Rs.2,000/- + Rs.250/- + Rs.500 = Rs. 4,250/-)
2 Place where the AIPGDET – 12 will be held Dr. D. Y. Dental College & Hospital, Pimpri, Pune – 411 018.
3 Dispatch of admit cards to candidates who are considered provisionally eligible for AIPGDET-12. Two weeks before the day of AIPGDET – 12.
4 Issue of duplicate admit cards: Duplicate admit cards will be issued to the candidates who have not received admit cards. These will be available at Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Pimpri, Pune between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the previous day of the Test or between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on the day of AIPGDET-12

(Note -An incomplete Application Form which is not accompanied by a D.D. of prescribed fee shall not be entertained & processed. This fee shall not be sent by Money Order. Please note that these Fees (Form Fee and Test Fee) are non-refundable.

Eligibility Criteria
1. A candidate who passes final BDS examination from a recognized Dental College, included in the schedule of the Indian Dental Council Act, 1948 and who has obtained final registration either from the Dental Council of India or from any State Dental Council, after completing one year compulsory rotatory internship, will be eligible to appear for AIPGDET - 2012.
2. Candidate who has not completed one year compulsory rotatory internship and is likely to complete the same on or before 31st March, 2012 can appear for the AIPGDET - 2012.
3. Candidate who is yet to complete his/her internship should submit a Certificate from Principal/Dean of the Dental College, regarding the likely date of completion of the internship.
4.Candidate who is previously registered and is pursuing or completing the same course.
5. Candidate should keep one photocopy of his/her application form, Receipt/Admit Card and the Information Brochure for subsequent use. 



Conduct of AIPGDET – 2012:

The eligible candidate is required to attend the AIPGDET - 2012 at his/her own cost.
The Examination medium will be in English.

AIPGDET - 2012 paper will be of one and half hours duration, containing 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Questions will be  of single best response objective type with four choices. Each correct response will be awarded one mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer. Scratching, overwriting and multiple marking will be considered as wrong answers. Candidate shall darken the circle corresponding to correct response by blue/black ball point pen or 2B Pencil.

The Entrance Test will be based on the Syllabus of the BDS Examination and will cover all the subjects of the BDS Course. The tentative number of questions of each subject will be as below:

Result and Merit List:-

The result and the Merit List will be displayed on the Vidyapeeth Notice Board and will also be made available on the website www.dpu.edu.in Results of the individual candidate will not be communicated on telephone or post.

Counseling and Admissions:-

  1. The selection to a course will be made as per the Merit - cum - Preference given by the candidate.
  2. To be eligible for selection to any of the postgraduate courses, a candidate must secure not less than 50% marks at AIPGDET - 2012.
  3. Based on preferences given, the seat will be allotted on merit and admission will be done provisionally, subject to eligibility granted by the Vidyapeeth.
  4. The choice of the course once entered in the preference form will be final and irrevocable.
